Ghost Storytelling Dinner 2017

Haunting Ghost Stories
kick off 30th season of Corner House Storytelling Dinners on Thurs. Oct. 26!
From ghoulies and ghosties
And long-leggedy beasties
And things that go bump in the night,
Good Lord, deliver us! –traditional Scottish prayer

The Corner House Inn in Center Sandwich kicks off its 30th consecutive season of Storytelling Dinners with a GHOST STORY GALA on Thursday, Oct. 26th. Five different storytellers will be on hand to tell their favorite spine-tingling stories!
Appearing will be: White Mtn. storytellers Ed Fayle, Andy Davis, and Joan Veilleux and, from central NH, popular storytellers Simon Brooks and Arthur Surette.
Ed Fayle (whose interest in the spirit world has created a special connection with “Clarence” – the Corner House resident ghost) has been recognized as a favorite storyteller in Mount Washington Valley for over a decade.
White Mountain storyteller Andy Davis has entertained audiences as far east as Paris, as far south as Bamako, and as far west as San Diego. In addtion to tales of ghouls and goblins, his varied repertoire includes tales of youthful indiscretions and footloose adventure, multicultural folktales and tales of folk background with an original twist.
Joan Veilleux, a mountain guide and park ranger from Brownfield ME, will be sharing an original tale about a mysterious rock climber at Jockey Cap.
British Storyteller Simon Brooks grew up in the dramatic and rolling English countryside, a land rich in tales. He spent many years surrounded by magical places such as the Stipper Stones, Malvern Hills, the Rollright Stones and made numerous visits to Stonehenge, Avalon, Sherwood Forest and the magical places and castles of Wales.
A born story teller, Arthur Surette is a keen observer of nature, both human and otherwise. His original stories and songs encompass everything from politics to four-legged chickens and are a celebration of the human spirit, warts and all. He plans to share the "perfect" ghost story with us.
Each Corner House storytelling season begins the Thursday before Halloween, and continues on Thursday evenings through the end of May. Storytelling Dinners begin at 6:30 pm. The cost is $22.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and includes salad, entrée, glass of wine, dessert, and coffee.
