STORYTELLING DINNER

Marion
Rebecca
A Trip to the
British Isles
English born sisters Marion Posner
and Rebecca Flood will be appearing at
the Corner House Inn’s Storytelling
Dinner Program. Marion and Rebecca have
lived all over the British Isles, from
the wild highlands of Scotland to the
rolling valleys of England’s West
Country. They have lived in a London
town house, a Cumbrian castle, a rugged
farm house, a Victorian Gothic mansion,
a classic English cottage graced with
roses and honeysuckle and, on the way,
picked up the eccentricities, humor and
culture that give life to the stories
they perform.
A frequent performer at the Corner
House, Marion Posner writes and produces
stories and plays along with running a
contemporary version of the old one-room
school house, and designing “walking
through history” trips in Europe.
Marion’s stories are both humorous and
profound, weaving truth with fantasy
about life in the British Isles. Her
characters are often drawn from English,
Irish, and Scottish lore, which reflect
her own upbringing in the British Isles.
Rebecca has worked in mental health
settings for the last twenty years, and
currently practices massage therapy in
North Conway. Both sisters narrate and
play the various characters involved:
from Alfie, wed to the damp romantic
moors of Northern England, to the
oh-so-aristocratic Lord St. John in his
palatial home gracing the green fields
in the shadows of Windsor Castle.
Join Marion and Rebecca for an evening
of stories with a distinctly British
flavor. Thursday
Storytelling Dinners begin at 6:30 pm.
The price is $16.95 per person. For more
